Chisinau-based school to bear name of Moldovan writer

Chisinau, 14 June /MOLDPRES/ - A school from the Moldovan capital will bear the name of writer Spiridon Vangheli, under a decision approved by the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) today, just when the prose writer turned 90 years.
According to the decision, the school No 90 from the Botanica district of Chisinau will be named Elementary School Spiridon Vangheli.
The initiative on renaming the institution belongs to the school’s administration and pupils’ parents.
Presently, 14 infant classes work at the institution, with 415 pupils and 22 teachers.
At the same meeting, CMC voted for the renaming of the Gymnasium No 7 from the Centru district of Chisinau into the Adrian Paunescu Gymnasium.
