Moldsilva Agency, USM signed cooperation agreement

Chisinau, June 17 / MOLDPRES /- Moldsilva Agency and the State University of Moldova (USM) signed a Cooperation Agreement yesterday. The document provides for the strengthening of the partnership between the two institutions and the reset of relations between the parties involved in the context of turning to good account protected natural areas.

At the same time, the State University organized a round table on the capitalization of protected natural areas in the Republic of Moldova. The event took place inside the MEDIACOR center, with the support of the US Forest Service International Programs from the USA.

USM rector Igor Şarov noted the importance of collaborating with state entities in carrying out activities with educational and social impact. In turn, the participants from the USA, including from the Forest Service International Programs, showed their openness in establishing a lasting partnership between the competent institutions from the two countries.

Another relevant moment was the presentation of the revitalization concept of the Environmental Metrology and Astronomy Laboratory of USM in Lozova commune (Straseni), the Codrii Reserve and the creation of a multifunctional nature knowledge center.
