Chisinau, June 20 / MOLDPRES /- The medical system in the Republic of Moldova in recent years, characterized by a pandemic, immense work, dedication and sacrifice is the subject of a new photography exhibition, signed by Master Mihai Vengher, photojournalist of MOLDPRES State News Agency.

The exhibition will be hosted by the Parliament this week, being inaugurated on the occasion of the Day of Medical Worker and Pharmacist, marked in the Republic of Moldova annually, on the third Sunday of June.

The exhibited photographs show the medical worker in different poses, most of them being from the pandemic period, as well as post-pandemic. A series of works are actually made in the first line, the author being among the first victims of COVID-19 and who went through all the trials of the disease with the camera next to him.

"These works are not a work of art, on which you can reflect for a long time. These are real life situations, caught in a period full of fear, uncertainty, the unknown, risk and a sense of duty. There are dozens of snapshots experienced and felt by a patient crushed by the disease. A situation that eventually gave way to the professionalism of doctors and the spirit of reporting. The heroes were with us, I was lucky to meet them and it is a joy to show them to the world ", Vengher said.

A report made on a hospital bed was later developed and later became the central theme for several exhibitions "with and about doctors". They could be seen in several locations in the capital, and now the updated exhibition has reached the country's legislative forum. "Doctors had their own front line, which they fought with the methods, skills and tools at hand. Or, in the context of one of the most complicated and tragic tests in the profession, the medical system has shown that it deserves and must be approached and mirrored", he said.

The exhibition at the parliament is the third dedicated to doctors and the author plans to diversify the medical theme. "I am currently working on a project in which I set out to focus on one of the greatest miracles - the birth of a new life, the pain and happiness of the birth of a human being. This exhibition will include 30-40 photos from maternity wards, from delivery rooms, which I will make public for next year's International Children's Day", Vengher said.

He is the author of numerous photos included in the unique album Parliament of Independence. Mihai Vengher is a member of the Union of Photographic Artists and the Union of Fine Artists of Moldova. In 2016, by presidential decree, Vengher was awarded the honorary title Master in Art "for his long and prodigious work in the media, contribution to the development of photographic art and high artistic mastery".
