Prime Minister spoke with students of State University of Moldova

Chisinau, June 21 / MOLDPRES /- Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița urged students to opt for a career in public authorities and thus contribute to the development of the Republic of Moldova. The call was made yesterday at a meeting between Prime Minister and Secretary General of the Government Dumitru Udrea with young people from the Faculty of International Relations, Political and Administrative Sciences of the State University of Moldova, government's communication and protocol department has reported.
Gavrilita told the students about the role of civil servants in achieving the strategic goal of modernization and European integration of the country and pointed out that, lately, they have been actively and dedicatedly involved in completing the EU accession questionnaire.
"Now, the civil service has gained new importance. EU integration involves a lot of work, namely from civil servants. They need to ensure that standards in various fields meet European requirements. Therefore, the speed with which we will integrate into the European Union also depends on the quality of civil servants, including. At the same time, the civil service offers the opportunity to make decisions with a real impact on the lives of citizens. If you are motivated to make a change, then you should know - the biggest change is made in the civil service ", Natalia Gavrilița said.
Secretary General of the Government said that the civil service implies a great responsibility, especially in the context of regional crises affecting our country. "We are constantly strengthening our capabilities, and our main goal remains to increase the quality of public services provided to citizens," said Dumitru Udrea.
USM students asked several questions about the conditions for running for public office, administrative-territorial reform, youth policies and strategies. Opportunities for participation in EU-funded projects were also discussed, including the recently launched innovative internship program to encourage practice in central public institutions.
