First electric vehicle made in Moldova, drones, robots presented at Tekwill Expo Day

Chisinau, June 23 / MOLDPRES /- President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu participated in the Tekwill Expo Day Exhibition, inaugurated today in Chisinau, the presidential press service has reported.

The head of state welcomed the organizers of the event, who exposed to the public the products created and used by the beneficiaries of Tekwill educational projects, and talked to the authors of the inventions - young people who think creatively and successfully combine imagination, knowledge and technology.

Among the innovations on display are the first electric vehicle manufactured in Moldova, a smartphone-controlled electric car, a robotic arm that moves objects without touch, drones and robots, web pages created for small entrepreneurs.

According to the head of state, thanks to our development partners, over several years, Tekwill projects have cultivated the creative spirit of our young people, and today we can see the fruit of their work. From robots to programming elements, from integrated systems in schools to artificial intelligence, Moldova is embracing information technologies, preparing the new generations for the professions of the future.

"I encourage children and young people to continue exploring this field and I thank the teachers because, through their enthusiasm, they give life to ideas that change the world. At the same time, I want to reach all children in Moldova with these learning methods. Because then we will really see the enormous human potential of our country. We must also invest in teachers, on whom the quality of education depends, and to ensure equal development opportunities for all children, regardless of the village or city in which they live ", Maia Sandu said.
