Meteorologists announced yellow code for exceptional fire danger

Chisinau, June 24 / MOLDPRES /- The State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) has announced a code for the exceptional fire danger until July 1.

According to meteorologists, between June 25 and July 1, throughout the country is announced exceptional danger of fire (class V) of a natural nature and threat of arson of forest strips and crops.

In this regard, rescuers and foresters warn that it is possible to ignite agricultural land, feed depots, areas with forest vegetation, housing and household annexes.

These services require the population to avoid the use of open fire near homes, outbuildings and feed depots, on land covered with dry vegetation, especially when located near forests, plantations or high fire risk areas. At the same time, it is recommended to restrict the performance of works that create favorable conditions for the production of fires through releases of volatile substances or excessive overheating.

According to SHS, after a cool period, in the following days the heat wave returns, and the thermometers will indicate up to 34 degrees Celsius.
