Ambassador of Turkey ends diplomatic mission in Moldova

Chisinau, 30 June /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu has had a farewell meeting with Ambassador of Turkey to Moldova Gürol Sökmensüer, on the occasion of the end of his diplomatic mission, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.   

Nicu Popescu thanked the Turkish diplomat for his personal contribution to the development of the bilateral relation. Moldova and Turkey have good political and diplomatic relations and an intense dialogue within regional and international organizations.  

„We referred to the boosting of the commercial exchanges and of the Turkish investments in our country’s economy. We want along with partners from Turkey to extent our cooperation in the economic diplomacy sector, on the occasion of which, with the help of our countries’ embassies, we back the programmes regarding the increase in the trade volume between our countries,’’ the head of the Moldovan diplomacy, Nicu Popescu, said.     

In the end of the meeting, Minister Nicu Popescu conveyed to Ambassador Gürol Sökmensüer wishes of success in his subsequent diplomatic activity.
