Chisinau, 30 June /MOLDPRES/ - Following a dialogue held between the political representatives in the process of negotiations on the Transnistrian settlement, with the involvement of the OSCE Chairmanship-in-Office, OSCE Mission in Moldova and the relevant international partners, the Tiraspol chief negotiator today informed about a ‘’decision’’, under which decision-makers will ensure the extension till 31 August 2022 of the term of action of the protocol decision, On measures of regulation of the issues dealing with the carrying out of the 2006 year mechanism on the use of farmlands placed beyond the Tiraspol-Camenca highway from 25 November 2017, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.

We remind that, in late 2021(https://gov.md/ro/content/remarca-contextul-mesajului-tiraspolului-privind-initiativa-de-limita-termenul-de-aplicare) Tiraspol notified about the intention to limit till 30 June 2022 the provisions of the aforementioned protocol decision, which represents a serious infringements from the commitments taken at negotiations, as deadlines of enforcement were not agreed upon in the concerned document.

We find out, unfortunately, that the issue of the access of farmers to the farmlands which they possess, own and use remains topical for the next period, given that Chisinau’s request to cancel any unjustified terms and restrictions was not settled properly.

Thus, the issue of farmlands from the Dubasari district remains in the focus of the deputy prime minister and the Reintegration Policies Bureau and decision-makers will continue through all efforts possible, with the use of all channels of interaction available and the current leverages of intervention, in order to get its positive, sustainable and final settlement, with Tiraspol giving up unilateral actions and unacceptable conditions.
