Chisinau, 1 July /MOLDPRES/ - The salaries of the employees of Moldova’s Railway State Enterprise (CFM) will be increased by about 70 per cent starting from July 2022.

A decision to this effect was approved by CFM leadership jointly with the Public Property Agency (APP) and regards all CFM employees.

At the same time, the enterprise informed that, on 31 May 2022, the salary debts to the CFM employees, accumulated in the previous years, had been fully paid.

Also, beginning with 1 June this year, the current salaries started being paid without delay. ‘’Concomitantly, the debts for the salaries unpaid on the previous periods were paid off too. The improvement of the enterprise’s economic and financial situation was possible due to a good management of the operational activities, as well as of the actions of development and maintenance of the infrastructure,’’ a CFM press release reads.

The Infrastructure and Regional Development Ministry (MIDR) informed in early last June that, in the next two years, Moldova’s Railway would undergo through a complex reform. A first goal is the monitoring of the action plan for 2020-2024 on the enterprise’s work. Among the principal reforms due to be implemented on this period, there are: CFM’s reorganization from State Enterprises into Stock Company and CFM’s division into two independent stock companies: a unit in charge of the railway infrastructure and the other one competent with the passenger and freight transport.
