Moldova's National Social Insurances House informs about new conditions of retirement for women

Chisinau, 1 July /MOLDPRES/ - The National Social Insurances House (CNAS) has informed that, starting from 1 July 2022, the retirement age for women was 60 years and the retirement contributions up to date – 33 years.  

According to CNAS, the retirement age for men remains unchanged – 63 years and the retirement contributions up to date – 34 years; the concerned conditions were established on 1 July 2029.

Under the legislation, a cut in the retirement age is provided to the women who gave birth and educated five and more children till the age of 8 years. The retirement age is diminished by 3 years for these women and will be 57 years starting from 1 July.  

The old age pension is established for life beginning with the date of meeting the conditions for retirement, if the application and the needed actions were submitted in a period of 90 days after this date. If the term of submitting the application is exceeded, the pension is provided starting from the date when the last necessary act is submitted. The term of examination is of 60 days after the date of submitting the application with all acts needed.   

At the same time, proceeding from the retirement contributions up to date envisaged for women, starting from 1 July 2022, at the setting of the anticipated pension for a long career, they are to confirm 36 years of retirement contributions and in case of men, the retirement contributions remains unchanged – 39 years.
