Moldovan foreign affairs minister participates in reception organized by U.S. Embassy

Chisinau, 1 July /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu has participated in a reception organized by the Embassy of the United States in Moldova, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.

„I participated in the reception dedicated to the 246th anniversary of the Independence Day of the United States of America, marked in the context of the 30th years of friendship between our countries.

This is a holiday for the American nation and an extra occasion to evoke the partnership of development between our countries, based in the strategic dialogue.

Our privileged relation is based on the community of values: democracy, rule of law state, market economy, civil society and firm and continuous support of the process of reforms and our European integration.

The inter-human relation, the public diplomacy strengthened in the prolific activity of the Peace Corps, exchange programmes with the U.S. government and the dialogue with the North Carolina state are essential in our relation.

Congratulations to all American friends on the occasion of the Independence Day celebrated on 4 July!’’ Minister Nicu Popescu said at the reception.
