Women from two south Moldova districts have possibility to make breast screening

Chisinau, 4 July /MOLDPRES/ - Women from the southern Cimislia and Basarabeasca districts have possibility to make breast screening through digital mobile mammography.
According to the Health Ministry, the breast screening allows detecting, with the help of a mobile radiological installation, pathologies of the mammary glands in incipient phases, when women have no symptoms. The radiological examination is recommended to be made once in two years.
According to specialists, about 1,000 women from Moldova are detected with breast cancer annually. Thirty per cent of them are diagnosed in late phases.
