Moldovan cabinet members participate in Ministerial Conference of Moldova Support Platform in Bucharest

Chisinau, 15 July /MOLDPRES/ - A delegation of the Moldovan cabinet, led by Labour and Social Protection Minister Marcel Spatari, along with Interior Minister Ana Revenco and Finance Minister Dumitru Budianschi, today participates in the second edition of the Ministerial Conference of the Moldova Support Platform, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.     

The conference held in Bucharest will be hosted and co-chaired by Romania’s Foreign Affairs Minister Bogdan Aurescu, along with Germany’s Foreign Affairs Minister Annalena Baerbock and Minister of State for Development, Francophonie and International Partnerships of France Chrysoula Zacharopoulou.

The donors and partners of Moldova will bring together to identify new possibilities of generating assistance necessary for the country to overcome the crises, carry out the reforms and achieve the goals set with the getting of the status of country candidate of accession to EU.  

Also, those five task forces of the Moldova Support Platform, made up of governmental experts from the states participating in the Platform, will convene at the Conference too. They work in key sectors, such as: humanitarian situation of the refugees from Ukraine hosted by Moldova, combating corruption, energy security, financial assistance and borders’ management. The participants in the Conference will consider also the extension of the task forces, in order to properly meet the needs of Moldova.   

The first Moldova Support Conference took place in Berlin on 5 April and was organized at the initiative of Germany, France and Romania.
