Chisinau, 18 July /MOLDPRES/ - The government prepares wholesale and retail fairs in Chisinau and Balti, where, in several weeks, native producers will be able to sell their season products. A meeting to this effect today was held at the headquarters of the Public Property Agency (APP), with the participation of Agriculture and Food Industry Minister Vladimir Bolea, Economics Minister Sergiu Gaibu, APP director Eugeniu Cozonac, other decision-makers.
According to APP, the Moldexpo International Exhibitions Centre will organize these fairs, preparing counters and tents, as well as by ensuring minimum conditions of hygiene, guard and verification of goods.
Exclusively native goods will be sold at the fairs, ‘’not oranges and bananas,’’ Bolea said. Special spaces will be set for those who want to make wholesales, as well as spaces for private people who have surpluses of goods in their households. ‘’We will create this opportunity for producers and processors from Moldova to meet their buyers,’’ Vladimir Bolea noted.
The task force which convened at the Public Property Agency also suggested that such fairs be organized in other several cities, as near as possible to compact groups of producers, so that citizens from those regions have access to Moldovan fruits and vegetables, at competitive prices.
