Commemorative exhibition dedicated to departed Moldovan politician inaugurated at parliament's headquarters

Chisinau, 19 July /MOLDPRES/ - A commemorative exhibition occasioned by the 90th birthday anniversary of the former parliament speaker, Alexandru Mosanu, was inaugurated at the parliament’s headquarters today.

The exhibition is titled, In memoriam – Alexandru Mosanu, 90th birthday anniversary, and was organized to pay homage to the illustrious historian, academician and political figure.

The parliament’s museum hosts a selection of books signed by the former speaker, as well as archive photos which show his life and work. At the same time, the guests will have occasion to also see a video material with sequences of the politician’s speeches.

Alexandru Mosanu was member of Moldova’s parliament during 1990-2001 and held the office of parliament speaker during 1990-1993. He was born in the Braniste commune, Balti county, on 19 July 1932 and died at the age of 85 years on 7 December 2017. Alexandru Mosanu was an outstanding historian and political figure, university professor, PhD in political historical sciences, as well as honorary member of the Romanian Academy.
