Irish diplomacy head to pay visit to Chisinau

Chisinau, 19 July /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu on 20 July will receive on visit Minister of Foreign Affairs and Defence of Ireland Simon Coveney.

According to the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE), the agenda of the Irish official in Chisinau will also include a meeting with President Maia Sandu.

The discussions between the two diplomacy heads will be focused on subjects dealing with the sectoral cooperation with Ireland, in the context of the integration into the European Union and getting the status of country candidate, implementation of joint bilateral projects for the benefit of the two countries’ citizens, as well as the evolution of the security situation in the region, in the context of Russia’s war against Ukraine.
