Chisinau, 20 July /MOLDPRES/ - The priority, enhancement of the degree of informing and education of consumers, the protection of their rights and economic interests were the principal subjects discussed at a 19 July meeting at the headquarters of the Agency for Consumer Protection and Market Surveillance (APCSP) with representatives of the Civil Aviation Authority (AAC).
According to APCSP, the meeting took place in the context of numerous calls at the Consumer’s Phone, as well as of claims received by the Agency. ‘’We are set to work jointly more efficiently in the consumers’ protection sector, especially when it comes to the problems dealing with the tourism services and plane tickets included in the tourism package,’’ the Agency said.
The Agency for Consumer Protection and Market Surveillance is the administrative authority which coordinates nationally the control over the observance of the legislation on consumers’ protection. It has status of national contact point, being in charge of the tourism services and plane tickets included in the tourism packages.
The Civil Aviation Authority manages the aviation transport sector and namely the plane tickets bought from specialized companies (rights of passengers, delayed, cancelled flights, refusal for embarkation, lost or deteriorated luggage, people with disabilities, transparency of prices for online bookings, etc.)
