Moldovan president congratulates well-known writer on birthday

Chisinau, 25 July /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today came up with a congratulatory message conveyed to writer Vladimir Besleaga, on the occasion of his 91st birthday anniversary, at a festivity which took place at the Eugene Ionesco Theatre, the presidential press service has reported.    

„A great talent has the power to change minds and lines of life; a great talent accompanied by a strong character has the power to change everything around him/her,’’ the head of state.  

At the event, a documentary titled Zbor (Flight), directed by Eugeniu Popovici, was screened, which shows the life of the writer and publicist full of character. Vladimir Besleaga is recognized for his dignity and courage, for the generosity of spirit, for his resistance to evil and the capacity to distinguish between truth and lie.    

„He is the man who did not let himself defeated by times and continued his flight even when he had his wing broken. This is the most important lesson which we can learn from him,’’ Maia Sandu said.  

At the same time, in her congratulatory message, the Moldovan president noted that the moral models were quite important for people, especially in difficult times.    

„We need such models, to whom we can refer especially in times of distress which we experience. We wish a long life, good health and full of inspiration to the man, artist, bearer of moral authority Vladimir Besleaga!’’ Maia Sandu wished to the writer.
