Moldova wins first medal of European Youth Olympic Festival

Chisinau, 26 July /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova has won the first medal at the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) 2022, held in Banska Bystrica, Slovakia, the National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOS) reported.

It is about Denis Cutcovețchii, who got bronze medal in discus throw, with the result 15.93 metres.  

Nineteen sportspeople represent Moldova at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Banska Bystrica, who compete at the following sports events: athleticism, badminton, judo, swimming and tennis.       

EYOF is organized under the aegis of the International Olympic Committee and brings together sportspeople from 50 member states of the European Olympic Committees.
