Moldovan president meets residents of central district village

Chisinau, 27 July /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu on 26 July met residents of the Sireti village, central Straseni district, the presidential press service has reported.
The head of state said that Sireti was one of those 492 settlements due to benefit from financing within the European Village programme – 10 million lei will be allocated for the carrying out of the project on the extension of the sewerage system from the settlement.
President Maia Sandu discussed with people the solutions on which the leadership was working to cope with the challenges faced by the country – increase in prices, energy crisis, drought and war in Ukraine. The head of state noted that the government was looking for ways to support the producers on this complicated period, including in the forthcoming cold season.
„In the end of the discussion, I told the people that, to solve the economic and social problems, we need solidarity – we will manage to overcome the difficulties only together,’’ Maia Sandu said.
