Moldovan authorities, public institutions to be able to pay salaries through MPay service

Chisinau, 27 July /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet today gave a positive notification to a draft law, which will allow the authorities and public institutions to pay the salaries through the Governmental Service of Electronic Payments (MPay). This single way of distribution of salary payments will contribute to reducing the operational effort of the public entities and will allow the automation, to a great extent, of the processes dealing with the payment of salaries, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.     

Thus, through the use of this service, the authorities and public institutions will no longer have to conclude annual contracts with the providers of payment services and the employees, for their part, will have right to opt for the bids and services of any provider of payment services integrated with MPay.  

According to the government’s proposal, the new model of salaries’ payment might be implemented starting from the 2024 budgetary year.
