Moldovan parliament simplifies procedure of registration of veterinary use medicines

Chisinau, 28 July /MOLDPRES/ - The procedure of registration of veterinary use medicines will be simplified, according to amendments adopted by the parliament in the second reading today.

The document establishes the legal conditions for work of the economic entities for the fabrication, wholesale and retail distribution of veterinary use medicines, as well as the obligations/powers of the National Food Safety Agency in the sector.

At the same time, the amendments adopted see the banning of the electronic commerce of the veterinary use medicines, for which veterinary prescription is needed. Also, the document envisages the replacement of the certificate of registration of the veterinary use pharmaceutical product by the certificate of registration of the veterinary use medicine and establishing its unlimited validity term.

The legislative amendments enter into force on the date of publication in Moldova’s Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial).
