Lyceum from central Moldova city undergoes energy optimization with EU's support

Chisinau, 29 July /MOLDPRES/ - A project on enhancing the energy efficiency of the Ion Vatamanu lyceum, carried out with the European Union’s financial support, has been finished in the Straseni city. The commission for reception at the completion of works held a meeting on 28 July. The commission found out that the works were in line with the norms proposed.
The overall value of the investments is of 1.3 million euros, of which 1.2 million euros was provided by EU and 102,000 euros represents the local contribution. Over 650 pupils, teachers and auxiliary employees of the lyceum will benefit from the new conditions.
The project, Enhancement of energy efficiency of the Ion Vatamanu Lyceum from the Straseni municipality, is financed by the European Union. The project is implemented in cooperation with the project, Modernization of Local Public Services in Moldova. This project is managed by German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) Moldova, in partnership with the Infrastructure and Regional Development Ministry and is financially backed by the government of Germany.
