Moldovan diplomacy head has meeting with Romanian counterpart

Chisinau, 29 July /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu today had a meeting with Romania’s Foreign Affairs Minister Bogdan Aurescu, during the visit to Bucharest on a delegation led by President Maia Sandu.
According to the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service, the diplomats referred to the latest developments of regional security, in the context of Russia’s unjustified war against Ukraine, as well as to the agenda of bilateral cooperation between Moldova and Romania for strengthening the strategic partnership for European integration and the community of language, history and culture shared with Romania.
At the same time, the two diplomacy heads discussed possibilities of advancing in the implementation of joint projects in strategic fields, such as the energy interconnection, infrastructure, transport, meant to ensure Moldova’s modernization, in order to strengthen the country’s irreversible European integration.
„Romania remains our most important supporter in the process of implementation of the agenda of reforms and accession to the European Union, for which we thank,’’ Deputy PM Nicu Popescu said.
