Moldovan PM meets new Romanian ambassador to Chisinau

Chisinau, Aug. 1 /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița had a meeting today with new Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Romania to the Republic of Moldova, Cristian-Leon Țurcanu, in the context of the start of His Excellency's mission to our country. Gavrilita congratulated the Romanian diplomat on appointment and wished him success in the exercise of his mandate, government's communication and protocol department has reported.
At the same time, Natalia Gavrilița thanked the Government of Romania for the support of our country's European approach and the constant support offered in overcoming multiple crises, including through the Support Platform for the Republic of Moldova.
During the discussions, Romania's support in the process of strengthening national energy security was reconfirmed, as well as the provision of the necessary assistance in overcoming logistical challenges.
Cristian-Leon Ţurcanu recently completed his mandate as Ambassador of Romania in Kyiv, and during 2014-2015 he was the Deputy Ambassador of Romania to the Republic of Moldova.
