Ministry of Education additionally offered free tickets for rest to refugee children from Ukraine

Chisinau, 2 Aug. /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Education and Research (MEC) announced today that it has additionally offered free tickets to a summer camp in the city of Vadul lui Vodă for refugee children from Ukraine.
Children will benefit from free tickets to the Pearls of the Dniester summer camp for children in the following periods: July 31 - August 9 (first exchange), 200 children; August 11 – August 20 (second shift), 200 children; August 22 – August 31 (3rd shift), 400 children.
"The rest camp will provide the children with accommodation, food (4 times a day), an educational, cultural-artistic and sports program. All activities will be guided by specialized teachers, and the safety of the children will be ensured by the camp administration. The children's rest in the camp in Vadul lui Vodă is organized in coordination with the Single Center for Crisis Management, with financial support from UNICEF Moldova, the SOROS Foundation and the Catholic Relief Services Agency," says the MEC.
This year, for the first time, the Ministry of Education and Research, through local bodies specialized in the field of education, jointly with the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, through the Territorial Directorates of Social Assistance and Family Protection and Refugee Accommodation Centers, identified solutions for providing rest for children from refugee families from Ukraine in summer camps in the Republic of Moldova.
At the same time, the local public authorities have made efforts to create better living conditions for refugee families, including the inclusion of children in cultural-artistic, sports and entertainment activities during the summer vacation. Thus, until now, around 180 refugee children from Ukraine have rested in rest camps across the country.
