Petrol, diesel prices to continue to decrease

Chisinau, Aug. 3 /MOLDPRES/- Fuel prices have recently dropped by more than 18% for petrol and 17% for diesel. After in June of the current year fuel prices reached a historical maximum level of 33.90 lei/liter for COR 95 petrol and 32.46 lei/liter for standard diesel, the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) announced today that, at present, there is a continuous downward trend in them.

Thus, following the same trend, for August 4, ANRE established the following maximum retail prices for the main standard oil products: 27.61 lei/liter - for COR 95 petrol (- 0.11 lei); 26.88 lei/liter - for standard diesel (- 0.21 lei).

ANRE assures final consumers of the correctness of the maximum sales prices of the main standard oil products. "The current price formation mechanism generates fair and transparent prices that faithfully reflect both upward and downward trends in international quotations," summarized the National Energy Regulatory Agency.
