Moldovan deputy premier meets head of International Organization for Migration Mission

Chisinau, Aug. 3 /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration had a meeting today with Lars Johan Lönnback, head of the Mission of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the MAEIE press service has reported.

During the discussion, the officials spoke about the refugee crisis, the dimension of human mobility and the associated challenges, as well as the priorities of cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and IOM in order to support the Government's efforts and assistance needs in the stated fields.

"We appreciated the Organization's support in managing the flow of refugees from Ukraine and reconfirmed the importance of continuous analysis of migration trends," said the head of diplomacy from Chisinau, Nicu Popescu.
