Moldovan president meets residents from Climăuții de Jos, Dobrușa villages

Chisinau, Aug. 3 /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu paid a working visit to the Climăuții de Jos and Dobrușa communes in the Șoldănești district on Tuesday. The head of state discussed with the locals about the situation in the country, severely affected by the war, about the problems of the communities in which they live, but also about future projects, presidential press service has reported.
"Today I had the pleasure of meeting the inhabitants of the Climăuții de Jos and Dobrușa communes in the Șoldănești district, welcoming people and confident in the future, despite all the problems we are facing. We discussed the situation in the country, severely affected by the war, the problems of the communities in which they live, the European path of our country", said Maia Sandu after the end of the visit. Also, the Head of State congratulated the residents of the two municipalities for being winners of the "European Village" Program and that they will obtain funding to expand the water supply network and for street lighting.
The president also went to the House-museum of the poet Dumitru Matcovschi in Vadul Rașcov. "I appreciated the way the residents here keep alive the memory of our great writer and tell about him to the younger generations," said Maia Sandu.
