Prime Minister talked to Ambassador of Kazakhstan

Chisinau, 4 Aug. /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița met today with Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Moldova Almat Aidarbekov. The parties analyzed the prospects for revitalizing the Moldovan-Kazakh dialogue, in the context of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, especially for capitalizing on the potential for collaboration in the commercial and economic fields, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

The parties also discussed the importance of stimulating the cooperation of businessmen from the two states, including by organizing the meeting of the Moldovan-Kazakh intergovernmental commission for commercial-economic collaboration and a bilateral business-forum in online format. The prime minister also emphasized that the European Union has increased access for domestic production, so that the Republic of Moldova can become an attractive platform from the perspective of opening joint ventures and attracting investments, with the subsequent realization of production on the European market.

The Head of the Executive emphasized the special interest in activating the partnership in specific sectors, in particular, the agricultural and energy sectors. The key subjects, in this sense, concern the opportunities for the delivery of phytosanitary products and fertilizers from Kazakhstan to the Republic of Moldova, but also the possibility of organizing a regional hub for the delivery of fertilizers, including in EU countries and Ukraine. Possibilities of delivering fuel oil and coal were also discussed.

For his part, Almat Aidarbekov expressed his conviction that the intensification of collaboration on bilateral agreements and the resumption of the activity of the Intergovernmental Commission will generate new results in the commercial-economic and investment fields, creating a suitable space for constructive dialogue at the level of authorities, investors and people of business.
