Moldovan canoeists ranked in top 10 at World Cup in Canada

Chisinau, Aug. 7 /MOLDPRES/- Daniela Cociu - Maria Olărașu duet took 7th place at the Canadian Kayak-Canoe World Championships over the distance of 500 meters, repeating the same result as at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, the National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOS) announced today.
"Our girls also competed at 200 meters, where they ranked 6th. For boys, the duet of Sergei and Oleg Tarnovschi took 10th position in the 500 meters," stated CNOS.
Today, Maria Olărașu and Serghei Tarnovschi will compete in the finals of 500 and 5000 meters, respectively 1000 and 5000 meters, the cited source indicates.
