By the end of the year we must have a new CSM and a new CSP. These would be the first cleared forums that will have to ensure, in parallel with other measures, the sanitization of the system of prosecutors and judges. We ensured the independence of the Prosecutor's Office and the prosecutors, above all from oligarchic clans and interest groups. He specified that in the same period a series of legislative acts were adopted, which facilitate the extensive confiscation of illegally obtained assets and improve the mechanism for the recovery of criminal assets. Also, the legislation was amended in order to allow the trial of the defendants who fled or who are not in the country. Thus, all the legal conditions were created for those who stole to be convicted and their wealth to be confiscated.
"The asset declaration mechanism has been streamlined. Sanctions for political and electoral corruption have been tightened, as well as sanctions for illegal funding of parties," the minister added.
