Activity report of Ministry of Finance presented to Moldovan government

Chisinau, August 8 /MOLDPRES/- The activity of the Ministry of Finance was presented today by the general secretary of the institution, Dina Roșca, during the meeting, where the members of the Government of the Republic of Moldova presented the activity report -A year of governance in solidarity with the people.

According to the report, in the first year of activity, the current team of the Ministry of Finance worked to identify, mobilize and ensure the allocation of the necessary financial means for all the activities undertaken by the Government, in order to mitigate the pandemic crisis, the natural gas crisis and the crisis caused by the war in Ukraine , the financial assurance of the policies and measures of the Executive for the purpose of increasing salaries, indexing and increasing pensions, various allowances and allowances, as well as the financial assurance of all actions related to the provision of institutions with energy resources for the cold period.

The main actions carried out by the institution, during the reference period, were aimed at ensuring the stability of the public budget; strengthening the public procurement activity; opening and managing the refugee donation treasury account; the finalization and approval of the new Customs Code, harmonized to European standards; streamlining cross-border traffic at state border crossing points, etc.

"Also, it is worth mentioning the field of salaries: the salaries for some categories of employees and the reference values ​​for all budget workers were increased; the minimum wage in the budget sector increased from 2,200 to 3,100 and 3,500 lei, respectively," said Dina Roşca.

According to the cited source, the priority activities of the Ministry of Finance are focused on the identification and financial assurance of those policy measures that would ensure the implementation and realization of the program of actions for the cold period of the year, the financial assurance of the measures related to the increase of salaries, social benefits for pensioners and other categories, and the drafting of the budget for 2023.

"Currently, they are working on a series of measures to increase salaries in the budget sector. At the same time, by the end of August, the Ministry of Finance will draw up the budget and fiscal policy rectification project for the year 2023", summarized the Secretary General of the Ministry of Finance.

The government led by Natalia Gavrilița was inaugurated on August 6, 2021.
