Romania donated one million potassium iodide pills to Moldova

Chisinau, 9 Aug. /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Health announced today that following the discussions held by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Moldova, Ala Nemerenco, with his Romanian counterpart, Alexandru Rafila, the neighboring state donated over one million potassium iodide pills to our country.
The pills are distributed by the National Agency for Public Health /ANSP/ to public health centers, which will distribute them to health centers in the territory, at the direction of the Commission for Exceptional Situations of the Republic of Moldova. ANSP developed an instruction regarding the administration of the drug.
The Ministry of Health reiterates that there is currently no radiological danger and has urged the population to remain calm.
