Chisinau authorities propose consequences of bad weather to be liquidated next three days

Chisinau, August 10 /MOLDPRES/- The authorities of the Chisinau municipality propose that in the next three days the consequences of the rain and the strong wind from the evening of yesterday will be liquidated. The Commission for Emergencies (CSE) today approved the actions to be carried out as a priority by the municipal services.

The members of the Commission heard the reports of the services involved in the field work. Also, the heads of municipal enterprises submitted requests regarding the purchase of the equipment necessary to carry out the works in the affected sectors or the contracting of external services, from economic agents, in order to expedite the necessary interventions in the three days provided for removing the consequences of the rain.

According to the decision of the CSE, the workers are to ensure priority access to the courtyards of the blocks and to those of kindergartens, schools and social institutions. At the same time, there will be intervention in the removal of fallen cables, fallen poles, works will be carried out in flooded basements and on roofs.

At the same time, a special extended program will be established for workers, who will be paid according to the established additional schedule. In the same way, the local authorities will request the Ministry of Internal Affairs that the carabinieri teams intervene in public spaces to secure them until all the risk areas have been cleared.

Damage is also to be assessed, including buildings where roofs and basements have been damaged.

For the liquidation of the consequences of the bad weather, 2.5 million lei (about 125 thousand euros) will be allocated from the Reserve Fund of the municipality of Chisinau.
