International Youth Day celebrated in Moldova

Chisinau, August 12 /MOLDPRES/- International Youth Day is marked today in the Republic of Moldova. On this occasion, a series of activities aimed at young people will be organized in the capital.

According to Chisinau city hall, the actions dedicated to young people are organized by the Chisinau Municipal Youth Center. The program will include: technical-practical exercises in exceptional conditions, actions carried out alongside rescuers and firefighters, Youth Ring intellectual games, as well as thematic training.

At the same time, a bike and scooter race Velo Road Chisinau will be held, organized by USAID, UNICEF Moldova and the Pro Bono Resource and Information Center.

Also, young people will have the opportunity to participate in other activities organized by the branches of the Municipal Youth Center. Group activities and intellectual games are planned in the program.

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, in the Republic of Moldova there are 670.9 thousand young people, aged between 14 and 34. In 2021, their number was 25.8% of the country's population.
