Interior Ministry employees to be paid for work performed under conditions of increased health risk

Chisinau, August 24 /MOLDPRES/- Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI) employees in the public order and security will receive increased compensation for work performed in conditions of increased health risk. The government approved a decision in this respect today, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

The project sees allocation of about 7 million 847 thousand lei from the Government's intervention fund, of which 7 million 470 thousand lei will be offered to the General Police Inspectorate, and about 376.2 thousand lei - to the General Inspectorate of Carabineers. The money will be used to grant the compensation increase to the 5,524 employees involved in measures to prevent and combat COVID-19 on February 14-23, 2022.

No financial means were approved in the MAI budget to pay the compensation, given that it is not a permanent increase and it is paid only after the categories of beneficiaries are established by the Extraordinary National Public Health Commission.
