Yellow code of atmospheric instability announced in Moldova

Chisinau, August 30 /MOLDPRES/- The State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) has announced yellow code of atmospheric instability for today.

According to meteorologists, on 30 August between 15:00 and 23:00, electrical discharges are expected, heavy rains (15-45 l/m2) accompanied by gusts of up to 15-20 meters per second and hail.

On 31 August up to +30 degrees Celsius will be recorded during the day, and up to +20 degrees at night. From 1 September the weather gets colder, reaching up to +23 degrees Celsius.

In the event of a Yellow Code, the weather conditions are potentially dangerous, the forecast meteorological phenomena (rains, electrical discharges, wind intensifications, high or low temperatures, risk of increased flows and levels in rivers and streams, etc.) are common for the territory of the country, but they can temporarily become dangerous for certain socio-economic activities.
