Chisinau, 1 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- Air transport activities will be carried out under increased safety conditions. The Cabinet of Ministers approved today a Regulation setting technical requirements and administrative procedures on air operations, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

The project aims to set up a single regulatory framework in the air operations, which includes both technical and administrative requirements. At the same time, through it, the national legislation will be adjusted to the provisions of the European regulatory framework related to air operations.

The regulation provides for the establishment of a set of specific procedures regarding air operations with airplanes and helicopters, the conditions for issuing, maintaining, modifying, limiting, suspending or revoking aircraft operator certificates, the supervision and control of air operators involved in commercial air transport operations and non-commercial, as well as the conditions on specialized commercial operations.

The Regulation also sees provisions on working time and its limitation, medical examination of civil aviation personnel, psychological evaluation of flight crew, protection of worker safety etc.

The Regulation's implementation will contribute to connecting the national air operator certification system to the European one, and will also create the necessary conditions for the safe operation of flights.
