Bookfest Chisinau International Book Fair visited by about 25 thousand people

Chisinau, 6 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- Over 25 thousand people participated and bought books at promotional prices at the fifth edition of the Bookfest International Book Fair, which ended on Sunday in Chisinau.

According to the organizers, the 30 publishing houses on both banks of the Prut, the large number of visitors, as well as the diversity of events, over 30 book launches, made this edition one of the most beautiful so far. This year's edition enjoyed the High Patronage of Presidents of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu and of Romania Klaus Iohannis.

The 2022 edition of the Bookfest Chisinau International Book Fair benefited from the financial support of the Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova, the Ministries of Culture from Romania and the Republic of Moldova, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Government of Sweden within the Future Technologies Project. The organizers of the event are the National Library of the Republic of Moldova, the State University of Moldova, Mediacor, the Union of Publishers from the Republic of Moldova, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova and the Association of Publishers from Romania.
