Moldovan speaker meets diaspora from Denmark

Chisinau, 8 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- Speaker Igor Grosu discussed in Copenhagen yesterday evening with Moldovan citizens residing in Denmark, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.

The discussions focused on the country's future, the act of governance and the political situation in the country, improving the quality of public institutions and how more young people can be attracted to the public service. "I was happy to see ambitious and smart young people, eager to change the world for the better. Most of them are students or recent graduates", he said.

He urged the young people to return home after completing their studies to work together for the good of the country. "We have many things to do, reforms in key areas, infrastructure projects, renewable energy etc., and we need as many well-educated and well-intentioned people as possible," Grosu said.

At the same time, Grosu informed the Moldovan citizens in Denmark about the discussions that the authorities are having for the signing of an agreement between Moldova and Denmark on conversion of driver's licenses. The intention to open an Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Copenhagen was also approached, and for the urgent completion of documents, mobile teams from other consular offices in the region are to be organized if necessary. "The solutions are, it's important to find the best ones and help our people wherever they are. Our citizens must know - we are waiting for them at home to build together modern Moldova that we all want", he said.

Grosu is ending today his official visit to the Kingdom of Denmark on 5-8 September 2022.
