Termoelectrica enterprise of Moldova has reserve of crude oil to provide thermal energy supply services during one month and a half

Chisinau, 12 September /MOLDPRES/ - The Termoelectrica stock company has reserves of crude oil, in order to provide thermal energy supply services during one months and a half. An adviser on housing and communal issues of the Chisinau general mayor, Tudor Girbu, made statements to this effect at a today’s operative meeting of the municipal services.    

According to Girbu, the heating season is to start in next mid-October. ‘’According to estimations, the crude oil from reserves will be enough to provide the heating supply services till November inclusively. At the same time, Termoelectrica is to purchase another 190,000 tons of crude oil, in order to be able to supply thermal energy during the entire cold season,’’ Tudor Girbu said. 

Also, the Exdrupo administration has 70 transport units for the clearing of snow and cleaning roads. ‘’The enterprise has in stocks 3,700 tons of anti-skid material – enough to maintain the municipality’s infrastructure functional. The enterprise launched a tender to buy 5,000 tons of salt and 6,000 tons of sand,’’ Tudor Girbu noted.   

Municipal authorities said Chisinau city’s economy was prepared for the  cold period of the year at a level of 95 per cent.
