Leisure area to be set up in Ialoveni adapted to needs of residents of all ages

Chisinau, 15 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- The Regional Development Agency (ADR) Centru, the Ialoveni City Hall and the contractor appointed to carry out the works within the project signed today a new contract, which provides for the creation of a recreation area in the old part of Ialoveni.

"This regional development project, which falls within the field of urban revitalization and development of the infrastructure of public spaces, was applied for financing by the Ialoveni City Hall and provides for the provision of the old sector of the city (Bozu) with leisure space arranged and adapted to the needs of the locals of all ages, which will facilitate communication, rehabilitate the environmental situation and increase the quality of life", ADR Centru said.

The activities to be carried out within 14 months, according to the joint venture contract, will relate to the development of a multifunctional leisure area, accessible to city residents and those of four neighboring villages.

The value of the project, according to the contract, is about 10.7 million lei (about 550 thousand euros), of which over 7.7 million lei will be granted from the National Regional and Local Development Fund, and the rest of the amount will represent the beneficiary's contribution.
