Moldova's General Police Inspectorate receives consignment of software instruments on behalf of United States to combat cyber offences

Chisinau, 16 September /MOLDPRES/ - The General Police Inspectorate (IGP) today received a consignment of modern software instruments on behalf of the United States, in order to prevent and combat offences in the cyber sector.

The batch of equipment contains computer technology, servers, systems of maintaining servers and a soft specialized in the monitoring of the online environment.

Interior Minister Ana Revenco stressed that the ‘’beneficiary of the support provided is the National Inspectorate of Investigations (INI).’’

The equipment has a value of about 70,000 dollars. The donation’s goal is to enhance the resilience and protection of INI servers. At the same time, this will allow enhancing the capacity of analysis through accessing a larger volume of data.
