European Mobility Weeks launched in western city of Moldova

Chisinau, 17 September /MOLDPRES/ - The European Mobility Week titled, Green Friday on Bicycles, started in the western Ungheni city on 16 September. The action’s goal is to encourage the employed city’s residents to go to work by bicycle, scooter of by foot.

The subject of the current edition of the Week is Better Connections and is held with the slogan, Combine and Move! This is an invitation to the use of the three ecological alternatives of moving in the city: by bicycle, by foot or by public transport.

The European Mobility Week of this year encourages citizens to think about the benefits of choosing alternative ways of movement, to regard the green and ecological mobility as the best investment in the personal health and in the environment.
