Three young people to be charged with drug distribution

Chisinau, 21 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- A minor and two young people are under criminal investigation for distributing drugs in Botanica Garden and Dendrariu Park in the capital.

According to the Prosecutor's Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Cases, the three were caught, while placing drugs in Botanica Garden, and according to operative information, they were also carrying out their criminal activity in the Dendrariu Park. At the time of the arrest, the law enforcement officers seized more than 100 sachets of drugs from them.

Thus, following the searches carried out by the law enforcement officers, including at their residences and a 20-year-old accomplice, drugs and marijuana were seized worth 150,000 lei (about 7.7 thousand euros).

Following the arrest, the prosecutors formulated and presented the accusations to all three for putting drugs into circulation within an organized group, and later requested and obtained in court their placement in preventive detention for 30 days.
