Chisinau, 22 September /MOLDPRES/ - The delegations continued discussions on the issue concerning the posts abusively set by the Transnistrian power wielding structures, at a working meeting held in Bender today, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.

Moldova’s delegation reiterated that this hindered the free movement and jeopardized the situation in the Security Zone. At the same time, the Joint Control Commission (JCC) must intervene, in order to ensure the withdrawal of the illegal posts from the perimeter of responsibility of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces.

In this respect, Chisinau’s representatives suggested a new draft decision, which is to oblige Tiraspol to comply with the provisions of the 1992 ceasefire agreement and give up its unilateral actions.

The discussions which following failed to bring the sides to a consensus and a break was taken for additional consultations.

The second important subject at the meeting was focused on the recent incidents at the peacekeeping post nearby the Vadul lui Voda settlement. To exclude tensions of this kind, the Joint Military Command is to submit proposals on the adjusting of internal instructions.

A new JCC meeting will be held in one week.
