Moldovan cabinet approved semi-annual report on execution of national public budget, components for 2022

Chisinau, 23 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- At today's meeting, the government approved the semi-annual report on execution of the national public budget and its components for 2022, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

The document includes data on the execution of the national public budget (BPN), as well as the state budget in 2022 on revenues, expenses, deficit and sources of financing the deficit. Also, the Report contains the information on the state debt and the balances of monetary means in the state budget accounts.

According to the Report, BPN's revenues for the first semester of 2022 amount to 41.7 billion lei, increasing by 6.8 billion lei compared to the same period of 2021.

In the reference period, the revenues collected by the State Fiscal Service amounted to 27 billion lei, up by 4.4 billion lei than in the similar period last year. The revenues collected by the Customs Service amounted to 15.5 billion lei, up by 2.9 billion lei compared to the same period of 2021.

BPN's expenditures in the first semester of 2022 amounted to 45.1 billion lei, increasing by 6.7 billion lei compared to the same period of the previous year.

The implementation of the BPN in the first months of 2022 ended with a deficit of 3.4 billion lei, or 1.25% of GDP, while the budget deficit target for 2022 was set at 7.23% of GDP.

As of June 30, 2022, the balance of the state debt represented 78.9 billion lei, of which 46.7 billion lei represent the external state debt and 32.2 billion lei - the internal state debt.

The semi-annual report on execution of the BPN and its components for 2021 is to be presented to the Parliament.
