Moldovan PM visits Cahul Free Economic Subzone

Chisinau, 23 September /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita, on a working visit to southern Moldova, went to the production factory of the Dräxlmaier company, a resident of the Cahul-based Free Economic Subzone. Inaugurated four years ago, the company presently has 1,000 employees involved in the production of electric systems and automotive for eight vehicle producers, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.    

The PM had discussions with the company’s administration and employees who work at those several halls of the enterprise. Besides the motivating salary, they benefit from more advantages, such as: working conditions at the international standards, free of charge transport and meals, as well as training on behalf of specialists and experts from abroad.

Also, a dual education class will be opened on the area of the enterprise, within which the company trains specialists in the engineering sector. Moreover, starting from 2022, Dräxlmaier provides scholarships and organizes probations in cooperation with the Cahul State University in the fields of management, quality, production and engineering.  

Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita discussed with pupils opportunities of the dual education, which gives young people possibility to benefit from professional training, based on the company’s equipment.   

The manager of the Dräxlmaier Company, Alexandru Bordeianu, referred to the difficulties faced by the automotive sector, triggered by the logistic disturbances and queues appearing in customs. At the same time, Bordeianu showed interest in the measures of support of employees, initiated by the cabinet.   

„We know that there are big delays in customs and this jeopardizes your work. In this respect, we have undertaken a string of actions along with the government of Romania and we will continue making efforts to ease the traffic in customs, so that the factory’s goods are delivered in time. As for the backing of employees, we presently finish the working out of a new programme on assistance for the cold period of the year, so that the people are backed in paying their invoices,’’ the PM said.   

Starting from 2007 till present, the company has invested about 120 million dollars in Moldova and created more than 6,000 jobs, being the biggest regional employer from Balti and Cahul.
