Moldovan citizens from settlements where new local polls are to be held can check electoral lists

Chisinau, 29 September /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has urged citizens with right to vote to verify the correctness of the information in the electoral lists for the new local polls due on 16 October.
According to CEC, the voter can access the webpage of the Commission, www.cec.md, after which he/she will select the key, Verify the State Register of Voters. The voter will introduce the personal identification number and will undergo an anti-robot verification. Thus, the person can learn to which polling station he/she belongs and which is his/her order number in the electoral list.
Also, the voter can access the webpage www.verifica.cec.md and select the key, Learn Where You Can Vote, by indicating the settlement and the home address/residence.
Also, the lists can be verified in the buildings of the electoral bureaus. Based on the documentary evidence, the person can ask for the inclusion or exclusion from electoral list, as well as the correcting of the errors committed when putting down data.
Voters can verify the correctness of the compilation of the electoral lists till 15 October.
New local elections on 16 October will be held in three settlements of Moldova – Salcuta village (Causeni district), communes Ialpujeni (Cimislia district) and Braniste (Rascani district).
